AMICI EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL is imported from central Italy's premier olive growing area. The olives are organically grown high on the valley slopes. They are cultivated as they have been for centuries with the help of our Italian friends. Amici (a-mee-chee) means friends in Italian. The olives are hand picked in November and taken to a small frantoio (processing plant). They are cold pressed, bottled, labeled and shipped to Texas. This frantoio processes only for AMICI and our neighbors--who are making oil for their own table. The results is an oil unmixed from other areas and of a quality rarely imported to the U.S.
